My musical journey began when I discovered the saxophone under the skilled guidance of John Snauwaert. This introduction to this beautiful instrument laid the foundation for my dedication to the world of music.

I continued my education at the Kunstacademie Eeklo, where I delved into both classical saxophone under Franky De Baedts and jazz and contemporary music under Frans Van Isacker. My passion for music led me to Muda Gent - Institute for Music and Dance, where I was shaped by inspiring teachers such as Tom Callens, Raf Minten, and Roeland Vanhoorne. The journey continued at De! Kunsthumaniora Antwerpen, where I studied saxophone under the expert guidance of Tom Van Dyck. Eventually, I obtained my Bachelor of Music degree with a specialization in Jazz and Contemporary Music at the Conservatorium Gent, under the tutelage of saxophone instructor Bart Defoort.

I share my knowledge and passion for the saxophone as a teacher, providing substitute lessons at various institutions, including Popcollege Roeselare, Muziekacademie De Poel, APK Gent, and the Academie van Hamme in municipal education. Currently, I am active as a woodwind teacher at the Muziekschool Kaprijke, Toonbeeld [ The Netherlands] , and Ars Musica. Additionally, I enthusiastically give private saxophone lessons.

My journey as a musician is diverse and fascinating. As a saxophonist in the Ghent Youth Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of conductors such as Ilja Reijngoud, Marie-Anne Standaert, and Filip Verneert, with this orchestra I had the opportunity to perform at renowned festivals such as the Kanazawa Jazz Festival in Japan and Jazz Geraardsbergen. Since 2016, I have been a saxophonist in ECLECTIV, a versatile ensemble that has showcased my saxophone sound on stages such as the Music Village in Brussels, Jazzenede in Assenede, the Gathering Festival in Cape Town, and Jazz in 't Park in Ghent. With Mooger (Funk) on stages such as the Rijversfestival, Herbakkersfestival, and Pukemafestival.

At the moment I’m active, with The GrassRootsMovement (Dutch-language Hip-Hop) we played at festivals like Polé Polé and Copacobana. I’m a member of La Folie Jolie (cover band)  and as a freelance saxophonist, I have collaborated with diverse ensembles, including BigBand 86, Big Swing Band, NAFT, Little Jimmy, SHHT (at the Pukkelpop festival and BOOMTOWN), and JazzDelivery.

My musical journey continues, with a constant dedication to sharing my passion and exploring new sounds in the wonderful world of music.
